Critiques

I always loved "geometrical" photos, and this one is striking. The simplicity of the setting is put in evidence by the lines of the big window and the shadows on the floor. It would've been a great photo even without the lonely person sitting there contemplating a rich, cloudy sky (that adds another layer of interest to the shot), but with him/her is even better. I also like the choice to "subdue" the contrast, making the photo consistent as a whole, when most photographers would've gone for high contrast. As a personal plus, there's also the title, that quotes one of my favourite classical music pieces ever.

Excellent, nice composition and quite moody, though the music makes it a bit more serious, more grave than I would have imagined it as such.

Thanks, Alex, also for the fave! I had a hunch you'd like this. :)

"STREET" is great fun, but it's NOT pics of empty streets, your feet on the pavement, graffiti, traffic lights, ten poses of your girlfriend, or buildings without people. More info --> [link]

Excellence in composition!
Moody capture that gives me the feeling of imprisonment!

Thanks, Stamatis! :) Actually it was quite a nice space, but I'm glad my picture conveys emotion. :)
