Description
This is not really about love, it's about photography.
Because it's Friday, the first person to guess which two painters inspired this picture, gets an exclusive feature. One is a renaissance master, and the other is from the 20th century. To help you with the second one, I have to add that unless you're a compatriot of his, you'll probably write his name wrong.
I'll accept wrongly spelled entries though.
Contest closed! In the nick of time, both painters were pointed out correctly by
1. Piero della Francesca (particularly his 'Eternal City'
2. Piet Mondriaan (not Mondriaen), who's rectangle-based compositions were also an inspiration (not his use of primary colours obviously).
Square pictures can be square pictures because they're cropped square, because they're from a camera that produces square negatives, because they're square=dull, because they happen to be taken on a square. For me this picture is square not because of any of the above, but because it has a deep inner squareness.
Diehard *SixbySix members probably won't like it all.

Tech Notes
Photoshop CS3: curves, brightness contrast, HSL, texture
The texture is "texture 13" [link] by ~0607 who's making his textures available without any obligation whatsoever, and therefore I insist on naming him here.
