As most of you know, I haven't written a journal in a while. I'm writing this using the new beta of the journal editor, and if you haven't got access to beta features yet, I can tell you you will like it. Pretty close to WYSIWYG (which is something I've always asked for) and great access to the art that you might want to feature. And as we're talking about journals, these people write good ones:
Absolutely top of the bill. Sometimes I feel that you could limit yourself to watching everything in Scheinbar's journals, and not miss too much. A dA on Scheinbar-level would probably be a whole lot more relevant to the artworld. And then there is her own work of course...
Stamatis has run the Friday Night Features in The-Yard-Collective for a long time, with consistent regularity and quality, and there are also his own journal and his off-dA photoblog. As I'm anything but consistent (or to put it in another way, consistently inconsistent), I'm in awe of this. He is also a journalist without the dash, in the sense that he has done photojournalistic work at a good pro standard. And he has learned me about blown-out highlights, long, long ago...

Denneris was one of the first people I got to know after I started my photography account on dA and I still know her. I guess it helps that we're both emote-ional people.
I got to know a lot of nice artists through her journals, and it's worth your while to watch to have the same experience. She's a great example of focused, personal journals. She has a good eye for the quirky and travel shots.
